2 Years: The Best of 2011

Yesterday I wrote a post about the fact I've been blogging for two years, and linked to some of my favourite posts from 2010. Today, its all about 2011. This was a year that saw some really popular posts - the two highest-read ones of all time are both from 2011, and readership increase.

Here are my favourite posts from 2011.

In mid January, one Sunday proved especially fruitful. I wrote 'One Man', a statement of Jesus' work, and at the same time a challenge. It was alongside 'Don't Buy The Lie', which was a post on what real life might be.

Another post I enjoyed writing was "Don't Apologise for God". We need to be careful not to confuse apologetics - the defense of the faith - with being apologetic.

July saw the downfall of The News of The World - '#NOTW', and a post about a theology of unicorns. July was a good month.

Also in July was a review of a book that aims to be a christian response to sexual assualt. 'Rid of My Disgrace' is superb - a tour de force.

July also brought the two most read posts on my blog - one on angels - and the other on understanding the Cross/Atonement of Jesus.

Central to my blogging is the assumption that Churches Need Theology - and this post echoes N.T.Wright's similar view.

2011 was a big year. 250 Posts in all. TOO many to summarize easily here!
