Following on from a brief blog on a new role, I've been sharing a weekly prayer bulletin this month (The first was last week).
Here are this weeks prayer points from Pilgrims Friends Society:
Here are this weeks prayer points from Pilgrims Friends Society:
We can praise God that we recruited half a dozen or so staff – including an administrator at Bethany; some much needed night staff at Wantage; and Great Finborough where we are down to one last domestic vacancy to fill (plus bank staff).
Please keep on praying for all of our management teams, for strength, energy and wisdom as they both recruit, oversee the induction and training of new staff and also continue to juggle rotas. Without forgetting the others, perhaps this week we could focus on praying for G and J (Leonora, Chippenham) and Great Finborough (R and C).
The “focus group” that P and M convened had a good second meeting and I praise God that a range of doable initiatives were identified to boost retention and recruitment as well as a number that are going to be more difficult to afford. Please pray for wisdom as we prioritise and plan how to take these forward.
The other matters for prayer remain
- ask God to send us the remaining 30 plus people of His choosing
- ask God to direct the right people to the advertisements that are in November’s Christian magazines for the job vacancies for managers at Shottermill and Evington
- praise God for the people we recruited last week – and ask that they are made to feel welcome and want to stay and settle in quickly.
I hope these make for useful prayer points for you - an easy way to take part in this vital work.
