This post is linked to my work for SPCK, a Christian Publisher and Anglican Mission Agency.
The coming months provide exciting opportunities for many Christian organisations in Birmingham and prayer is the focus of the agenda, as SPCK’s Prayers on the Move project begins to be embedded into the city.
Recently, the team spoke to the Birmingham Church Leaders’ Breakfast about the idea and generated a lot of excitement around the vision of the ordinary people of Birmingham being confronted by a reminder to pray on their daily commute!
Now, we need your help to make it real! To bring Prayers on the Move to Birmingham we need about £25,000. But great news - with £7,750 already pledged from local church leaders and charitable trusts, we’re already 30% of the way there!
This week sees the launch of our crowdfunding campaign alongside an amazing campaign video which features a huge range of Birmingham Christians, including the Anglican bishop and Methodist District chair, telling us why they think Prayers on the Move will be a blessing on all the people of the city.
