In preparation for eventually releasing a 'Speaking and Writing' page (to sit alongside the other pages at the top of this blog), I will be posting on this blog (in various ways) the few talks I have done. I expect the quality will not be brilliant (in either audio or content) but would value your feedback!
I was invited at short notice - but not too short - to come and share a brief talk on Hebrews 12:1-2, at the final Equip meeting of NUCU's Autumn Term. I'd been before to speak on 'Why Bother with the Gospel', so I presumably didn't make too many mistakes. The last Equip of the term is right before Christmas, before students go home for the holidays, to revise, to see family again, to catch up with friends. It is a very different environment to university! I wanted to capture the heart of this passage - our eternal identity with Christ - and think about what that might mean for us as a mission team on campus, and in the light of eternity.
Apologies for the recording quality - it was done on a phone.
You can get the download (A little 7.85mb file) from Dropbox HERE. It comes in at around 16 minutes.
Let me know what you make of it by commenting, or connecting with me through Twitter or Facebook! You may also like my previously-recorded-and-shared talk titled 'Why bother with the Gospel'.
