The Name Change and The Facebook Page

The author building an ikea coffee table.

When this post is live, I will be married, settling permanently (well, at least not nomadically like my previous student existence) in Nottingham, and this blog will have a different name, and a Facebook Page.

I'm excited about the next phase of my own life: being newly married to the fantastic Amy, living in Nottingham, serving at and doing the Discipleship Year with Trent Vineyard, working part time, and generally starting to think seriously about what the future holds. This blog is going to continue - I love writing, reading, thinking and discussing, and this blog has been a great catalyst and benchmark for that through the last two years.

I'm changing the name to reflect transition. The original moniker, "Admiral Creedy's Musings" reflected a desire for a modicum of anonymity (as I was still technically living with my parents), and a school nickname: Admiral Creedy, as I lead the CU and was also the Sailing Captain. I've chose to change the name to better reflect the fact I'm working out who I am rather better, but that I keep musing. And thinking (hopefully), reading (definitely), discussing (generally) and learning (ideally).

I've started a facebook page to separate out my blogging activity from my personal activity. Whilst the two are often intertwined, and I will do them in parallel for a few months, I intend to move over the majority of my Blog postings on Facebook to being from a 'page' rather than my personal account. This is an idea first mooted by Amy way back in March of 2012, if not earlier, and is something I've wanted to do for a while.

But in spite of these changes, I hope to continue blogging in much the same way. I'd hope for a few more guest posts from Amy - or even collaborative ones - and will be exploring some more Vineyard-y stuff as I learn more about it on DY.

I hope you will all continue to read, occasionally comment, and generally get something out of what goes on here!

cheers,

Thomas Creedy, 17/9/2012

If you haven't, please do go and 'like' my Facebook page - I will eventually be posting from that only and not my personal account. Thanks!
